Legends of Slots
Legends of Slots sounds like one thing and plays like another. At its core it's a reel-matching puzzle where you line up symbols of knights, dragons and runes, but the whole thing is built around a fantasy map you slowly unlock. Each region has its own symbol set and a short story told through little cutscenes between stages.
Controls are about as simple as mobile gets: a tap to spin the reels, a swipe to swap your active hero. The depth comes from the hero collection. Every character tweaks the rules a bit, so you end up building little combos and planning which hero to bring into which region. I spent far longer than expected just rolling through the quest chapters.
It's clearly made for short bursts, and it nails that. Five minutes in a queue gives you a satisfying chunk of progress. The art is colourful and readable, the tap feedback is punchy, and the whole loop is easy to pick up without a manual. A relaxed, low-stress game that surprised me.
